WHAT DO I NEED TO USE THE APP?

WHAT BARCODE FORMATS DOES THE APP READ?
The app captures UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, EAN-8, ISBN, ISSN, CODE 39, CODE 128, ITF14, CODE 93, QR CODE, DATAMATRIX, PDF417, AZTEC barcode formats.
CAN I USE THE APP ON MULTIPLE DEVICES WITH THE SAME GOOGLE ACCOUNT?
Yes, you can use the app with as many devices you want. You can use it on your android phone, tablets, iphone, ipads and desktop computer with a connected laser scanner. However, it may increase your security risk.
CAN I GENERATE BARCODES OR QR CODES WITH THE APP?
DOES THE NBS APP SUPPORT MULTIPLE PROJECT TEMPLATES?
Yes. You can manage at least 10 forms on the PRO version, but you may only be able to manage 2 if you are on the free version. If this is the case for you and are in a PRO account, please contact our support team as we will make an adjustment accordingly.
WHICH EMAIL ACCOUNT SHOULD I USE FOR THE APP? PERSONAL GMAIL OR GOOGLE WORKSPACE?
GEAR NBS for Google Workspace(G Suite) has a few advantages, such as; (1)Manage accessible users to the app. (2) Assets are centrally managed within an admin's google sheet. Your Google Workspace administrator must install the app on your domain. If you want to use the app with multiple users, it's best to choose Google Workspace accounts as each user logs in and records activities within a system of logging. GEAR NBS for personal Gmail: If you just want a single person to use the app, the easiest way is to create a personal gmail for your project (ie. firstname.lastname@example.org).
CAN THE APP BE USED WITH EXISTING GOOGLE SHEETS?
In order to set up your GEAR NBS, the app creates a dedicated Google Sheet for asset management that is securely integrated with the app and synchronized in real time.
To use your existing inventory information, simply copy it into the NBS spreadsheet. Also, you may utilize formulas like IMPORTRANGE in Google Sheets. Plus, there are many ways to make the most of google sheets with the app. Please watch this video for some of examples.
I TRIED TO LOGIN BUT I'M AFRAID OF SHARING MY DATA.
When you grant data access to NBS, then NBS has API access to specific data like your Google account and Google Drive/Docs. NBS is able to view and utilize that data, but is not able to store any of your data. NBS just leverages your Google Drive and Google Docs. All of your data is safely saved in Google Cloud Platform.
When granting NBS access to your data, you're giving it API access. This enables the app to view and utilize specific data like your Google account and Google Drive/Docs. However, no information is stored in any of its databases because this is all done on Google Cloud Platform's servers so that everything can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection.
The app operates on top of Google Sheets, and utilizes the security features offered by Google App Engine. Your asset data is saved in your Google Sheets and never on our servers.
I HAVE AN ERROR 'YOU ARE NOT AUTHORISED TO INSTALL THIS APP, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR DOMAIN ADMIN.'
If you are a Google Workspace(G Suite) user, the app needs to be installed through Google Workspace Marketplace. Your admin can install it and can assign you to access it. If you are a G Suite Super Admin and have installed the app but get this error message, visit admin console, Security > API Reference and enable API access.
THE APP IS RECORDING THE WRONG TIMESTAMP ON MY HISTORY SHEET. HOW CAN I FIX THIS?
In the History tab in our google sheet, it shows GMT timezone only as a default. So if users are from different timezones, it always displays UTC for them.
SCAN/SUBMIT NOT WORKING PROPERLY TODAY. IT WAS FINE EARLIER.
Please check the following.
1. Do you have multiple accounts logged into your browser? If so, log out, delete cookie/caches, then re-log in.
2. Does the form field title include a symbol? (For instance, ?, #, -,!) In this case, submission errors may occur. Delete the symbols via form editing.
3. If there are invalid values in Google Sheet, it may not be synchronized properly. For example, invalid data on a cell, such as double lines or blank space on non-item rows.
4. If the name of the first row of sheet is not in line with a form field title., or if the order of the form field and the column order are mismatch.
5. It could be due to internet connection.
To find a solution to the problem or troubleshooting, there are two options.
[v] Check the revision history of this sheet and delete any invalid data or revert to an earlier version if necessary.
[v] Create an additional NBS Form and see if the issue is reproducible.
If the issue still persists despite the above, please back up your sheet by making a copy and contact our NBS support at email@example.com ask for 'reset' so you can start over.
I CANNOT DELETE THE FORM
If you don't have a sheet tab associated with the form, it won't be deleted whether or not it deletes properly. For example, if you have a form called "ABC Inventory Project", there must also be an existing sheet with the same name. In this case, you create a sheet tab by naming them "ABC Inventory Project" for now and try to delete the form again.

I DON'T SEE MY THUMBNAIL IMAGE ANY MORE.
If you use the Image field, your thumbnail URL will be expired due to Google's security reasons. To handle this issue, make sure your thumbnail URL is a universal link for google drive.
Go to your Google Drive and change your image permission to Anyone on the internet with this link can view .
Under the ThumbnailURL column, change the url to this format: https://drive.google.com/thumbnail?authuser=0&sz=w220&id=[fileid]
For example, if your Image column has;
Paste the following URL under ThumbnailURL:
Go back to the app and rescan the code and you will see that thumbnail image is displayed properly.
I'VE PAID FOR PRO BUT MY SUBSCRITOPION ON THE APP SAYS FREE.
After purchasing PRO/PRO+ and receiving a confirmation email, it can take some time until the payment has been verified or our rep can check your account. You also might need to delete all cache/cookies and re-login for access. If the issue persists for more than 24 hours, please contact our support team at email@example.com
I HAVE GOOGLE WORKSPACE. CAN I TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE DISCOUNT?

HOW TO DELETE AND UNINSTALL.
To uninstall the app, you can go to Apps connected to your my google account page and remove the app. You might also want to delete the app from your phone.
If you have installed the app using Google Workspace Marketplace, then your Google Workspace admin can uninstall it in the Google Admin console.
Refund Policy: NBS PRO/PRO+ is non-refundable. If you want to cancel it and stop payment, you can cancel in your payment profile in Paypal and stop an automated payment to prevent auto-charge upon renewal.
